After a 10 years rest A DANCE TRIBUTE TO THE ART OF FOOTBALL is now alive again with more energy than ever. The production has a new great cast and they are very eager to get on the road.
The new premiere will be in Lillehammer in Maihaugsalen on the 31st of august. You don’t want to miss it.
THE WRITER has had a good start on this years tour with great reviews and an enthusiastic audience. Next in line on the tour is The Festival of North Norway in Harstad.

JSK brings no less than two shows to Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival this June.
The European Lesson ends its Norwegian tour with shows on the 13th and 14th of June, and our new show, The Writer plays on the 17th and 18th of June. PIT is one of the few theatre festivals in the Nordic countries and has through 14 years of work built up a solid reputation and network both nationally and internationally.
On the 5th of June, Jo Strømgren Kompani premieres the newest show at The Stamsund International Theatre Festival in Lofoten, Norway, in co-production with Ulrike Quade (NL) and Nordland Visual Theatre (N). THE WRITER is a performance about the life and work of the Norwegian author Knut Hamsun (1859 – 1952).
Last year JSK co-produced a show with Philadelphia Live Arts Festival with an all-American cast: The European Lesson. This June, The European Lesson is doing a Norwegian tour. It opens at The Bergen International Festival on the 2nd of June, and after that travels to Bærum Kulturhus and Porsgrunn International Theatre Festival. The Convent was awarded the The Golden Review Award of Editorial Office of the Official Journal at the Kontrapunkt Festival in Szczecin, Poland on the 26th of April.
Jo Strømgren Kompani travels to South Korea in the beginning of May to perform The Convent at the Uijeongbu Music Theatre Festival. The UMTF is one of South Korea’s leading festivals, and one of the few to promote international and contemporary music theatre. It’s the company’s first visit to South Korea, but JSK returns later this year to perform A Dance Tribute to the Art of Football at Seoul Performing Arts Festival.

After touring Norway extensively in autumn 2008, we now take POLAROID to new territory in USA, with a short stop-over in Denmark first.
