Rehearsals started for THERE
We have now started rehearsals for the revival of THERE, both with the original cast and a new cast. And we can definitely say that this is something to look forward to.

Workshops in Poznan
As a part of our collaboration with Polish Dance Theatre, four Jo Strømgren Kompani dancers will be holding workshops in Poznan during the next week.
THE BORDER AT THE OPERA
Our acclaimed performance THE BORDER will this week form part of the summer programme at our home stage in Oslo – The Norwegian Opera and Ballet. Jo Strømgren will perform himself at the premiere on August 5th.

We are very excited to be a part of the international festival Teatro a Corte located in the Piemonte Region, Italy. A DANCE TRIBUTE TO THE ART OF FOOTBALL can bee seen at the beautiful castle Venaria Reale, on the 2nd of August 9.30 pm, as a part of and this years program Nordic Window!

After a spring filled with happy kids, exciting tours, and finally a premiere in Moscow, its time for some rest. July means summner holidays in Norway and the JSK office will be closed through the month of July. However – we will certainly be back in the start of August! During the first few days of August 3 different JSK performances will be shown in 3 different cities. Come see us!
ESTROGEN PREMIERE
JSK recives the Hystrio Prize!
We are very happy to announce that Jo Strømgren Kompani has been awarded the Italian Hystrio Prize. This prize is given out by the Italian theatre magazine Hystrio, directed by Claudia Cannella. From 2011, and in collaboration with the Teatro a Corte Festival in Torino, a prize for excellence in the use of body language is given out to international artists. We are very proud that Jo Strømgren Kompani is honored with this prize.
A KITCHEN success
“If this had been the Oscars, you would have won the prize for best children`s movie!!” Boy in the audience, 8 years old.
We are proud to announce that THE KITCHEN now has been performed over 150 times and reached an audience of 14200 people! We are looking forward to the festivals this summer, and will continue touring more schools this upcoming autumn and winter!
