End of Year Touring Highlights: Spain - Norway - Monaco

As 2024 comes to a close, Jo Strømgren Kompani is excited to share the final highlights of our season, featuring tours across Spain, Norway, and—making our debut in Monaco!

Spain Tour | 15–23 Nov – The Ministry of Unresolved Feelings

Our Spain tour includes stops in Vitoria, Logroño, Pamplona, and La Coruña, with a special appearance at Madrid’s 42 Festival de Otoño. The Ministry of Unresolved Feelings, blending humor and empathy, reflects on the universal struggle to manage unresolved emotions.

Norway | 7 Nov – Gone

We’re honored to bring dance to the mental health sector with a special performance of Gone at Schizofrenidagene 2024 in Stavanger. This piece delves into the emotional journey between sadness and nostalgia.

Norway | 28 Nov – The Substitute

Returning to Norway, we’re excited to bring our new children’s show, The Substitute, to the Showbox – Performing Arts Festival for Young Audiences in Oslo. This delightfully wacky performance pays tribute to all the invisible “losers” of society—those who work quietly to find their place and contribute something meaningful.

Monaco | 18 Dec – Made in Oslo

We’re thrilled to make our Monaco debut, performing Made in Oslo, a triple bill of Jo Strømgren’s works originally created for Oslo Danse Ensemble, on invitation by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo performance captures various facets of contemporary life through three energetic choreographies—Gone (2015), The Ring (2014), and Kvart (2007)—highlighting the humor, nostalgia, and intimacy in modern urban existence.
