New children's perfomance: "The Substitute"!

A fun theatrical experience for the whole family!

This fall, Jo Strømgren return to the Opera House with a delightfully wacky show as a tribute to all the invisible losers – those who do their best to find their place in society and contribute something important.

Join Clas Göran as he tries to dodge becoming a substitute teacher!

Clas has been given the daunting task of teaching EVERYTHING! Starting tomorrow! From Religion and Ethics to Math, Gym, and Music. Clas Göran is scared stiff, but he immediately throws himself into the most absurd preparations you can imagine. His grandmother’s living room becomes the classroom, with all the stuffed animals as the students, as he attempts everything from crucifying himself, to making fruit salad to teach math, and even doing circuit training on granny’s furniture.

The Substitute is an independent continuation of The Tired Man, where Clas Göran lives alone, struggles to get up in the morning, and loses his job. Now, in The Substitute, he has moved back home to his grandmother’s.

The performance is full of physical comedy that everyone can enjoy, but also contains a hint of rebellion against rigid pedagogy and a lack of imagination in the educational system.

The play is suitable for children of elementary school age and up.
