Travelling to Iran with THERE

From 27th to 31st January we will be in Iran with our performance There, performing four times at 35th Fadjr International Theatre Festival in Tehran. We are excited to be part of this major cultural event in Iran.

The Fadjr International Theater Festival is the biggest and most prestigious performing arts event in Iran, where works from all over the country is gathered in Tehran to showcase Iranian theater. The festival says on its website that it is “an opportunity to assess the reality of Iranian theater and to increase the quality of Iranian performing arts in the future”. In addition the festival invites a selection of international performances, to encourage exchange, inspiration and collaboration between Iranian and international performing artists.

In addition to four performances of There in the main hall of Tehran City Theatre, our performers will arrange a workshop for Iranian performing artists, introducing them to the work and style of Jo Strømgren Kompani. We are looking forward to some interesting days of cultural exchange in Iran.
