Watch out for THE VIRUS!
The Virus has started its Norwegian tour, visiting 11 cities this autumn and next spring. We will perform for both school audiences and the general public, in addition to holding a wide range of workshops.
Sandnes, Kristiansand, Trondheim, Larvik, Skien, Bærum, Hammerfest, Bodø, Fosnavåg, Haugesund and Nøtterøy will all receive The Virus during the next few months. The tour is a collaboration with Bærum Kulturhus, Regionalt kompetansesenter for dans and the newly established Dansenett Norge. We are thrilled to be one of the first companies to participate in this great programme, which will make it easier to provide high quality dance productions to venues all over Norway. For performance dates, see our schedule.
The Virus premiered last year and was described as “Fresh, new and funny” by Aftenposten’s critic. It has shown to have a natural appeal to young people, mainly because of its sci-fi influenced theme. The Virus takes place in a near future where something has gone terribly wrong. The source of the misery is found in a small desolate bunker: a machine that is infecting the world with a horrible virus. A small team sees the opportunity to solve the problem and give the world a restart, and an android is hired for the dangerous mission. But it turns out that even machines can have their own will, conscience and not least a very charming personality.
