Norwegian premiere: A Doll’s House

Restrictions, tensions, explosions. JSK recreate Henrik Ibsen’s most famous play about trust and kinship, debt and lies, envy and love with a raucous cast of American actors. Do not miss the Norwegian premiere January 20th at the Norwegian Opera in Oslo.

A Doll’s House received great reviews at its premiere in Philadelphia last September and performed for 5 full houses at the FringeArts Festival. “Human and multifaceted, lighthearted and ironic, narrative with a dancer’s expression of character”, Julius Ferraro wrote for Phindie, while Naomi Orwan from Broad Street Review called it “a rich, nuanced production”.

Taking respectfully irreverent liberties with the script, pared down to essence, this Doll’s House revels in the emotional and moral battles in their full glory – the essence of a play that will be forever contemporary.
