Jo wins Telenor Culture Prize!

We are so very proud to announce that Jo Strømgren has been awarded the 2015 Telenor Culture Prize “Boundless Communication”. The prize is awarded to artists or institutions for outstanding cultural performances in Scandinavia or internationally.

The Head of Jury, Ingrid Kindem states the reason for giving the prize to Jo: “Very few artists achieve recognition and distinguish themselves with a genre mix with such a broad scope within the performing arts as Jo Strømgren. His productions are characterized by large portions of absurd and at times rough humour, combined with wounded and beautiful expressions. Strømgren’s original dramaturgical grip conveys experiences that affect and engage across age groups and cultural boundaries."
