Happy New Year!

Jo Strømgren Kompani leaps happily into the new year with several exciting January projects with a special focus on Norwegian/American collaboration. January 20th we proudly welcome our great American performers for the Norwegian premiere of A Doll’s House at The Norwegian Opera in Oslo.

A Doll’s House received great reviews at its premiere in Philadelphia last September and performed for 5 full houses at the FringeArts Festival. “Human and multifaceted, lighthearted and ironic, narrative with a dancer’s expression of character”, Julius Ferraro wrote for Phindie, while Naomi Orwan from Broad Street Review called it “a rich, nuanced production”.

But even before the Norwegian premiere of A Doll’s House at the end of January, the JSK administration head off to New York City as part of Dance Hub Norway’s delegation aiming to develop new projects with US partners.
