Great reviews for SALVE REGINA!

Salve Regina, our co-production with Oslo Dance Ensemble, premiered last Saturday at Dansens Hus, Oslo. Since then it has received great reviews from Norwegian critics. «Beautiful», «sensitive», «elegant», «powerful», «humorous» and «exceptionally rich» are some of the words used by the critics to describe the performance.

VG’s critic Fredrick Rütter gives the performance 5 of 6 stars and writes:

The choreographer Jo Strømgren shows with «Salve Regina» that he still has a lot at heart. He is as creative as he has always been, and with an intact ability to surprise. […] The seven dancers are sharp and precise in all movements.

Maren Ørstavik in Aftenposten states that “It is beautiful, subtle, and occasionally ominous, without overstating the message of neither hope nor peace nor resigned powerlessness” and she says she hopes that “this will not be the last time Jo Strømgren Kompani and ODE get the opportunity to collaborate”.

Vårt Land writes that “there is burlesque humor, sensitivity, darkness and elegant diversions” and calls the performance “exceptionally rich”.

So take a break from stressful christmas preparations and get yourself and a friend tickets for Salve Regina. The show runs through to Sunday 17th December and is available for touring from 2018.
