Double bill of JSK at Les BorÉales

During the next week both THE WRITER and THERE will be performed at Comedie de Caen during the 23rd edition of Festival Les Boréales.

Our first coproduction with renowned dutch puppet company Ulrike Quade Company and Nordland Visual Theatre, THE WRITER, will be shown three times at Théâtre de Cordes. This is a rare chance to see this prize winning puppet theatre production, where a Nobel Prize winner finds himself in the white-out isolation of psychiatric scrutiny, accused of national treason. After 60 years of hatred, shame and distrust, there has still been no reconciliation.The performance let’s the Norwegian writer, Knut Hamsun, talk to someone again, to a three generations later someone, who perhaps has a different view upon the ever so latent minefield called freedom of thought and speech.

THERE has now toured both Haugesund, Bratislava and Bytom to great response after its revival in October. They will perform at Théâtre de Cordes from Monday 24th to Wednesday 26th November. Our performers will also be offering workshops during the weekend of 22nd-23rd November.
