Jo Strømgren Kompani is leaping into the new year with two brand new premieres including the long – awaited follow-up of our box office boosting football -performance. Also we are happy to announce that “The Society” is finally available for touring!
Can cruelty of mankind and divine beauty be expressed with two rackets and a 1 gramme plastic ball? With a symbiotic blend of martial arts and contemporary dance on top. “A Dance Tribute to the Art of Ping Pong” premieres Desember 2011. And yet before that – “The Border”, our co-production with Hålogaland Teater in northern Norway – will premiere in Tromsø 1st of September.
Due to demand we have reserved two months of touring (autumn 2011) for the ruthless coffee-drinkers forming “The Society”. “The Dance Tribute to the Art of Football” continues touring throughout the year, in addition to some performances of “The Convent”.
