March 24th is the premiere of THE HYPNOTIC WALLPAPER at Malmö Stadsteater in Sweden. Written and directed by Jo Strømgren, this production features 5 actors and 6 dancers from Skånes Dansteater, giving an alternative analysis of how modernistic wallpapers damaged the brains of a whole generation.

After the surprising and long term success with previous SUNDAY AGAIN, this NYC company has commissioned yet another piece for a program with Hofesh Schechter and Crystal Pite. Rehearsals take place in January and April. Premiere place and time TBC.

Ballet de l’Opera National du Rhin will yet again perform COPPELIA, Strømgren’s sixth production with this company, in Strasbourg, Colmar, and Mulhouse in March and April.

As part of the Cinars’ Canadian/Nordic showcase at APAP in New York City, The Iceland Dance Company will perform the full length version of KVART at Lincoln Center/Gerald W. Lynch Theater on January something. Date TBC. Although this piece has has toured extensively in Europe with different companies, this is it’s first introduction to US audiences.

DIE INSULANER will premiere at Staatstheater Braunschweig, Germany, on November 4th. The piece dives into the rock bottom misery of a small island community, searching for a poetic view on shameful human behaviour. The program also includes a new piece by Douglas Thorpe.
